Most of the travelers wonder quite a few times about ways to get from the airport to a hotel. While there cannot be a simple answer to this, we will walk you through a process to make your way to your hotel each time.
Go to the website of your hotel
First, check for any location-related information on your hotel’s website. Occasionally, there may be a link or tab for location or a map, or it may be found under hotel information on the page you are, or even on the contact us page. If the website is good, it will include the address of the hotel, the distance to the closest airport or airports, and the cost and availability of various modes of transportation.
Use Google
Next, go to Google to look up things like “Rome Airport Transportation.” That should ideally open the airport’s transportation page along with options in private transportation and blog entries featuring suggestions from other people. The only issue with the blogs is the fact that each person is different. Check Uber/Lyft
Install the Lyft or Uber app on your phone, and after entering your hotel address as the destination select the airport as the location for pickup. It is best to see estimated travel time and estimated expense at the same time of day as your arrival.
Call your hotel
After examining the hotel’s webpage and browsing the internet for airport/hotel options, you will have a solid understanding of what is most plausible, most affordable, and best serves your needs. However, you can give the hotel a call and ask to speak with the concierge or front desk if you are not quite sure. - Private pickup: If you can reserve a private service for slightly more money than an Uber or a taxi, you should. The only issue is that we typically have to wait for the driver to get his or her car and pay for parking. However, it’s convenient to know that someone will be waiting for you at the airport, that they will know where you’re going, that they will have the appropriate car, and that you will be aware of the cost beforehand. Another benefit of private airport transfers, Heathrow is that you can usually pay online at the time of booking, saving you the trouble of finding an ATM when you get there.
