The disease known as phimosis pulls the foreskin back over the penis head. Although it often only occurs in infants, it can occasionally persist into maturity, for which you can get circumcision at Lazare Urology. The symptoms of phimosis can include the following:
- Penile enlargement due to swelling.
- Discomfort while going to the bathroom.
- Blood in the urine.
- Regular urinary tract infections.
Phimosis can develop due to:
- Growth through time
- Trauma
The Phases of Metamorphosis:
- Periods of Phimosis:
The five levels of phimosis range from mild to severe. Among them are:
- Primary phase, pinhole metamorphosis
Seriousness increases in adults. Issues arise when engaging in sexual activity due to pinhole phimosis. Wearing a Phimostretch ring with a diameter of 3 or 4 millimeters will help you perform better.
- Make your glans pop.
Next, place a ring of the same kind with a diameter of 5 mm after the phimosis stretch ring with a diameter of 3 to 4 mm. By now, your delicate glans should be clearly apparent. However, you should not attempt to fully retract your foreskin over the glans because doing so may lead to more tears. So, to go to the next ring, you have to keep using the phimosis stretch rings to stretch the foreskin.
- The third stage, during flaccid states, can retract behind the corona.
The third stage calls for rings that are 18–26 mm in diameter. If your penis is flaccid, you will not feel any tightness in your foreskin behind the corona because of these rings. You will not feel any constriction in your penis’s movement. While you are erectioning, though, you might have trouble retracting over the corona.
- Stage 4, when an erection is going on, the foreskin can pull back all the way to the corona:
Even while you might not be able to achieve a full erection just yet, your stretching abilities will improve, and the width of your foreskin will increase. You can now wear rings with a diameter of 26 mm to 34 mm.
- Stage 5, complicated phimosis:
The final phase is mild phimosis. Retracting behind the corona is possible at this point, but you could feel some tightness. If your foreskin is too tight to move freely, try using rings that are one or two sizes larger.
Methods for Treating Phimosis:
As the baby develops, phimosis typically goes away on its own. It is necessary to treat phimosis if it continues after the child becomes an adult.
- A topical steroid:
You have the option of applying a steroid lotion directly to your penis.
- Extend the skin of the foreskin:
After the first two weeks of applying the steroid cream, stretch the skin of your foreskin. Carefully pull back on the skin to expand it without causing any harm.
- Medical Procedure:
Your child’s doctor may cut the foreskin so you can draw it back if they are having trouble. You will likely be advised to undergo circumcision if you are an adult with scar tissue.
