    Indian music has been profoundly impacted by the work of Ustad Alla Rakha Khan, popularly known Viewster as Ustad Alla Rakha or Ustad Allah Rakha. In fact, he was regarded by many as being one of the greatest tabla players of all time. Ustad Allah Rakha began to collaborate with the legendary Indian sitar player Ravi Shankar in the 1950s. This partnership proved to be extremely fruitful, and Shankar’s influence on Ustad Allah Rakha’s musical style was significant. Ustad Allah Rakha was greatly influenced by Shankar’s progressive approach to Indian classical music, and began cinewap to incorporate elements of jazz and western music into his own work. The influence of Ustad Allah Rakha and his collaboration with Shankar was particularly profound in the qawwali style of singing.
