Infertility is a common problem among Americans, and according to the National Institutes of Health, it affects one out of six couples in America. If you have male infertility Mountain View, you may be at risk of various complications involving testicular, colon, or prostate cancer. Moreover, you may experience stress and a strained relationship as you cannot impregnate your spouse and raise children. If you are infertile, you will have to seek treatment, and some assisted reproduction technologies are costly.

Under normal circumstances, your body creates male reproductive cells called sperm in the testicles. During vaginal sex and when you ejaculate, the sperm enters the woman’s body and swims to meet with eggs for fertilization.

If you are infertile, your reproductive system may have difficulty making and transporting sperm and semen to the vagina.

Subsequently, below are why you may be infertile and require immediate treatment.

    Sperm abnormalities

These include abnormal sperm count, asthenozoospermia, teratozoospermia, and necrospermia.

For instance, if you have an abnormal sperm count, you have a small amount of sperm when you ejaculate, significantly reducing the possibility of fertilizing an egg and impregnating your partner.

On the other hand, necrospermia is an infertility problem associated with a significant number of dead sperm present in your ejaculate.

Also, you may have no sperm in your ejaculate. That is a medical condition called azoospermia. The problem may result from a blockage that impedes the entry of sperm into your ejaculate or decreases the creation of sperm in the testis.

    Scrotum varicose veins

Also called varicocele, scrotum varicose veins are an enlargement of the veins of the scrotum due to the pooling of oxygen-deprived blood from the testicles.

The formation of blood pools in the scrotum veins is often due to poorly functioning valves or vein compression by an adjacent structure or growth.

The collection of oxygen-deprived blood in the veins will lead to insufficient delivery of essential nutrients to the scrotum and subject the testicles to higher temperatures that discourage the creation of sperm.

    Retrograde ejaculation

During retrograde ejaculation, semen enters the bladder instead of passing through the penis and into the vagina when you ejaculate.

That happens because the bladder’s sphincter fails to contract during ejaculation and instead is relaxed. Hence it does not seal the bladder to prevent the entry of semen.

Although you orgasm, your ejaculate contains inadequate or no semen. For that reason, retrograde ejaculation may be called a dry orgasm.

    Immunological fertility problems

Your body can produce antibodies that attach to the antigens in the sperm. The attack of healthy proteins of sperm can lower the sperm count and make low-quality sperm.

You may also be infertile because there is a blockage in the tubes that allow the passage of sperm due to a defect, an infection, or a previous surgical procedure that causes scarring.

Additionally, your infertility issue may be due to hormonal imbalance, chromosomal abnormalities, and prolonged use of certain medications that provide relief against cancer, high blood pressure, depression, anxiety, arthritis, and digestive conditions.
